How much more confused can our kids here in America get?

They are left to face an ever increasing society with no absolutes, watered down values, no significant convictions, and a moral compass handed to them with with no clear direction. They are marketed by industries that produce video games of blood, gore, and death. Our children are also marketed by retail stores, such as Abercrombie and others, by using questionable and provocative advertising ads and posters to lure them to their stores. In essence they are saying…if you want to be cool and sexy this is what you have to look like and this is what you have to wear.

Our kids seem to have lost the innocence of their childhood. A child dare not is be left alone even in their own back yard for fear of sexual predators. While still in adolesence they are bombarded with complex issues such as same sex parenting. Schools are encouraging kids to consider their options of sexual preference. Birth control is made available from schools without parental consent.

Gloucester High School in Boston Massachusetts reported 17 girls being pregnant. It is still not clear at this time if there was a pact among the girls to get pregnant together. By any standard this is values gone-a-muck! Where there are no clear absolutes, convictions, and values there will be reckless indulgence. If you can afford it, a private Christian School is advised.

The bible is clear about the responsibility of the parent concerning their children. God gave all of us rules to live by. They are the rules and regulations that God has commanded us to observe and obey. (Duet. 6:7) “Write these commandments that I have given you today on your hearts. Get them inside of you and then get them inside your children. Talk about them wherever you are, sitting at home or walking in the street; talk about them from the time you get up in the morning to when you fall into your bed at night. Inscribe them on the doorposts of your homes and on your city gates.”

Stop the confusion! There is no reason our children should loose their childhood innocence. If our kids are to have a sense of unshakable values they must be taught with a standard of solid truth. When parents have clear unyielding guidelines for their children, the children will have a clear direction to proceed in life.
